Texas Ranch to Table Beef

At Huckaby Cattle Company, our cattle are raised with respect, care, and appreciation. We believe that knowing where your food comes from means knowing you’re giving your family the healthiest, most wholesome meals possible.

From our ranch, through a humane processing facility, and all the way to our family-driven customer service, we personally oversee every step of the process. Our mission is simple: to provide our neighbors and friends with local, healthy beef raised the right way — just like we serve at our own family table.

Meet Clay & Angie Huckaby

Family, Tradition, and Knowing Your Food Source

Clay and Angie Huckaby share a lifelong passion for ranching, family, and providing wholesome food to their community. Clay’s journey began in junior high, when he caught his first calves during the calf scrambles at the San Antonio, Houston, and Austin rodeos. By the time he graduated high school, he had grown his herd to 20 head of cattle, learning responsibility, respect, and care for livestock alongside his family. Those early experiences built the foundation for the values he carries on today.

Angie grew up in the heart of Wyoming, surrounded by cattle ranchers who instilled in her the belief that the closer you are to your food source, the healthier and happier life can be. She is passionate about humane, respectful cattle raising and the importance of sharing that quality beef with family, friends, and neighbors.

Together, Clay and Angie carry forward the traditions they grew up with, raising gentle cattle with integrity and appreciation. Their commitment to honest ranching practices and family values ensures that Huckaby Cattle Company delivers more than just beef — it delivers food you can trust, from people who truly believe in knowing where your food comes from.

Emery: The Mighty Mini Cattleman

Emery is a natural steward of the land and a true animal lover. He enjoys every moment on the ranch, from mending fences to raising his own cattle for both show and for feeding his family, friends, and community. With each decision he makes, Emery shows a deep respect for the animals and honors the cycle of life, embodying the values of responsibility and care that ranching is built on.

Lilly: The Princess Warrior

Following in her grandfather’s footsteps, Lilly is fearless in the pasture. From taming the feistiest calves to befriending chickens, donkeys, and even barn cats, every animal eagerly awaits her attention when she steps outside the gate. Confident and brave, Lilly has considered herself a rancher from the very beginning, proving that ranching is as much about heart as it is about hard work.

Meet Mark Kubsch

Huckaby Cattle Rancher

The Cow Whisperer

Gary has a special gift for working with cattle — even the fiercest calves can’t resist his patience and gentle approach. Each year, after the Huckaby calves are weaned, Gary takes the time to introduce them to human contact in a calm and caring way. With a simple treat in his hand, he waits quietly until the first curious calf steps forward. Soon enough, the others follow, and trust begins to form.

Thanks to Gary’s steady patience, the calves quickly grow comfortable around people. They learn to respond to a call, making it easier to bring them in from the pasture, check on their health, or provide care when needed. His quiet dedication not only makes ranch work smoother, but also reflects the deep respect and bond he shares with the animals.
